Independence Day Celebration and Sr. House Group singing competition
SARASVIS UNFURL THE TRI-COLOUR
On account of Independence Day, on 15 th August, 2023, Tuesday, we, the Sarasvis were
filled with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. This year too on Independence Day the
school premises was beautifully decorated with tricolor balloons, charts depicting
patriotic themes, symbols and little doves - a symbol of peace. The prestigious Indian tri-
colour was unfurled by Respected Principal of our school, Mrs. Anita Pinto in the
presence of coordinators Mr. Balram Das and Mrs. Meenakshi Bangera. The
programme was then further carried by comperes Ms. Romila Menon and Mst. Neel
Gavli. The dignitaries were then formally welcomed by Sr. school Captain Ms. Prisha
Bhurke. Our tiny tots of pre-primary section showcased their talent dressed up as
national symbols and freedom fighters. Students of Sr. KG. presented a group song on
patriotism. The programme was continued with an exhilarating Sr. interhouse group
singing competition based on the theme of patriotism. Our young Sarasvis then
performed a group dance giving an impetus to the fact of Unity in Diversity. Our
Respected Principal, Mrs. Anita Pinto then enlightened us and explained the importance
of the day. The Jr. School Captain, Ms. Avni Raut formally rendered the Vote of
Thanks. The programme was concluded with a pledge of Tobacco-free India. The
atmosphere mingled with the scent of patriotism.
