ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION AT SARASVI

SVPT’S Saraswati Vidyalaya and High School and Jr College of Science , Rabodi,
Thane celebrated its 40th Annual Day with a display of immense talent to glorify
academic and extra curricular excellence. The much-awaited day was filled with zeal
when the students, staff and parents witnessed the extraordinary endeavors of the
students, who worked enthusiastically to present a splendid performance at this
Celebrations in the school premises. The esteemed Chief Guest who humbly
accepted our invitation was none other than a famous and well known Actor and
Producer Mr. Mangesh Desai. The Chief Guest in his speech expressed that he was
overwhelmed with the kind of welcome he received from the school and its students
which shows the values and the culture of the school, where indeed we not only
teach our students but also preach that “Atithi Devo Bhava”. He expressed his
gratitude towards the “Thane city” and “The Thanekars” who helped him to make his
vision of “Dharamveer” into reality. He was immensely delighted to not only give
away the Prizes to the students but also happy to see that so many Teachers were
being felicitated for their dedicated service towards the institution and imparting
education to the students which is the ultimate goal. He also appreciated that the
school not only wants their students to excel in academics but also in other co-
curricular activities where in the students are given the opportunities by the school
through various House competitions and encourages the students to nurture their
interests. He emphasised that parents should hone the talents of their children and
let them follow their passion which will indeed lead them to a brighter tomorrow.
A vibrant and emotionally colorful programme in lively attire marked the annual day
presentation by the Sarasvis. The theme of the presentation was “Navras” – The
Journey of Emotions . The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents
creating the essence of emotions and mood through various Skits in English, Hindi
and Marathi and foot tapping and vibrant dance performances. The grand ending of
the annual presentation was the showcasing of Nine emotions through the various
forms of Nav Durga .The fest concluded with the audience mesmerised and totally
awestruck by the memorable evening.
