National Science Day-2024
"Success can come to you by courageous devotion to the task lying in front of
you", is a famous quote by C.V Raman. National Science day is celebrated every
year on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect' and to
raise awareness about the importance of Science and its role in improving the
lives of people. Just like every year this year also Sarasvis celebrated national
science day with great enthusiasm.
On this account, Saraswati Vidyalaya and Junior College of Science, Rabodi
organised a Science and Math exhibition on 1st of March 2024. Little scientists
and mathematicians from 6th to 11th participated in this exhibition and made
extraordinary models. Some of the exceptional projects included portable
inverter, smart streetlight, electric bell, smart glasses for blind, manual water
level checking system and many more. The competition was judged by the
teachers and 1st 3 winners from each standard were selected. Everyone including
the teachers and the students were spellbound looking at the creativity of the
students whose projects were displayed. Our Principal Mrs.Anita Pinto
appreciated all the students for their creativity and hard work, in her speech
emphasised the need to go beyond textbooks and encouraged and motivated
students to broaden their creative heads.
Beyond commemorating Sir.C.V Raman's achievement, National Science Day is a
testament to India's rich scientific heritage and its commitment to advancing
scientific knowledge for the betterment of society. It underscores the importance
of promoting scientific literacy, fostering curiosity, and nurturing a culture of
innovation and critical thinking nationwide. And looking at the innovative projects
made by our Saraswati we all have the faith that they would surely make our
nation a developed nation in a short period of time.
