FUN WITH SHAPES
It was a day of 'FUN WITH SHAPES' on Wednesday 10th July,
2024 for the kindergarten section. The knowledge of shapes
gives the young children an advantage in many areas of
learning.
Our Nursery toddlers enjoyed a puzzle game displaying
various shapes while the Jr.KG learners created different
parts of trees like stem, branches and leaves by layering
different shapes. It was a delightful and imaginative way to
learn basic properties of simple geometrical shapes.
Children of Sr.KG created a scenic landscape collage using
cut-out of shapes like circles, triangles, squares, rectangles,
and ovals. This activity not only taught geometric shapes but
also helped them enhance their fine motor skills, creativity,
and teamwork.
The tiny tots enjoyed a 'Shape hopping game' to learn about
shapes. Each child was given a small hand-held shape that
matches one of the paths on the floor. They enjoyed hopping
through the zigzag way through one of the shape paths while
holding and matching the hand-held shape to reach the goal.
By exploring and playing with shapes, kindergarteners
developed their creativity and understanding of the world.
