Solar Energy - The need of the hour

A workshop on 'Importance of Solar Energy' was conducted on 30th August,2024 at Saraswati Vidyalaya, in its premises. The orator of this lecture was Mr Sharad Pustake, a graduate Electrical Engineer with more than 50 years of experience and the President of Foundation for Indisciplinary Research. The Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogale and the Coordinators Mrs.Rakhi Khanna and Mr.Kapil Kulkarni marked their presence on the event.

Mr. Pustake in a very scientific and interesting manner explained the students the development of solar energy, construction of solar panels, its cost analysis and statistical data relating its power, potential and current. He also showed a specimen of a 10 watt power solar panel that his team had developed. Mr. Pustake also threw a light on the importance to 'Go Green' due to the degrading coal and natural hazards across the globe. At last he also gave an exemplification by an experiment that helped the students to conclude the effective capability of solar energy efficient products by comparing it to normal products like fans and bulbs. The students were deeply convinced with the need to have solar energy at home .The event was a huge success!
