Voices of Tradition: Sanskrit Stotra Recitation Competition

SVPT Saraswati Vidyalaya celebrated Sanskrit Day with great enthusiasm on August 27, 2026, along with the 6th Standard Inter-House Sanskrit Stotra Recitation Competition. The celebration aimed to create awareness and appreciation for the richness of the Sanskrit language and its cultural significance among students.

The competition was judged by Ms. Sanika Katti, who assessed the students based on pronunciation, fluency, memorisation, rhythm, expression, and overall presentation. Miss Saanvi Madhavi secured the first place, followed by Miss Jaishnavi Deshpande in second place and Master Smaran Sanap in third place. Miss Kavya Patil and Master Shon Mundana secured the fourth place. The winners were appreciated for their confident and impressive performances.

The event was graced by Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, Primary Coordinators Mrs. Meenakshi Bangera and Mrs. Rupali Patil, Secondary Coordinators Mr. Kapil Kulkarni and Mrs. Rakhi Khanna, and Office Admin Heads Mrs. Devyani Shukla and Mr. Vinayak Shinde. Their presence and encouragement motivated the students and added significance to the celebration.

The Sanskrit Day celebration provided students with an opportunity to understand the importance of Sanskrit and its contribution to Indian culture, literature, and traditions. The Stotra Recitation Competition further helped students develop confidence, pronunciation, memory, and presentation skills.

The event concluded on a positive note, with students appreciating the beauty of Sanskrit and participating with enthusiasm and dedication. The celebration successfully fostered a sense of respect for India's ancient language and cultural heritage.
