School Council elections are an essential part of student governance.
This process begins with the selection of the candidates by the Housemasters for the Four main
posts namely Captain , Vice- Captain , Games Captain and Games Vice Captain followed by their
interviews and the final shortlisted candidates begin canvassing for
their particular house.
On the day of Election the best candidates gets elected by the students.
The purpose for conducting the elections is to provide the students a valuable lesson in
leadership and to inculcate a sense of responsibility in them.
This also helps in shaping the future leaders and fosters a sense of community within the
school.
S.V.P.T Saraswati Vidyalaya was established in the year 1981 at Namdeowadi in Thane. The School presently owns its premises, which was inaugurated on 1 st October 1991 by the then Vice-President of India, Late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma. The school is efficiently run by the Saraswati VidyaPrasarak Trust.
