Freedom Legacy, Tomorrow’s Vision

Saraswati Vidyalaya, Rabodi, Thane, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the dignitaries, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled everyone with a profound sense of patriotism. This was followed by the Grade VII students presented a special assembly programme based on the inspiring theme “Freedom Legacy, Tomorrow’s Vision.” The programme beautifully reflected the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, the values of our Constitution, and the responsibility of the younger generation towards building a progressive India.

The School Song and Welcome Speech further set the tone for the celebration. A special felicitation ceremony honoured the dignitaries and school leaders—Madam Korde, Principal Mrs. Poonam Bhogle, Co-ordinators Mrs Meenakshi Bangera, Mrs Rupali Pawar, Mrs. Rakhi Khanna and Mr. Kapil Kulkarni—for their valuable guidance and support.

The programme continued with a graceful Prayer Dance and an inspiring Hindi Speech on the significance of Independence Day. The highlight was the Dance and Drama presentation, through which the students depicted India’s freedom struggle, constitutional values, fundamental rights and the journey towards a modern and responsible India.

The Class Report, Sanskrit Group Song and Principal’s Address added further meaning to the celebration. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks.

The celebration beautifully conveyed the message that while we honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, we must also take responsibility for shaping a brighter and stronger India.
